Offered for sale is a vintage Croton Aquamatic dive wrist watch, Swiss made, probably ca. 1970s. This watch is similar in style to a much more famous (and hugely more expensive) watch whose name I cannot mention here (many people call it a “Sub”). This watch features a solid stainless steel screw back case with crown guard, a screw-down crown, a bi-directional rotating outer bezel, a 17-jewel automatic movement, and a black dial with luminous hour markers. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial is in excellent original condition. The minute hand is missing some of its luminous material. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Fitted with an aftermarket stainless steel bracelet. This watch measures 37mm wide (without crown), and 41mm wide with crown. The bracelet will fit wrists up to 7-1/2″. If you want the look of a “sub” watch but don’t want to spend many thousands of dollars, this watch is the next best thing, for about one-tenth of the price. You can own this high grade, attractive Swiss made sport wrist watch, for $599.99. If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not guarantee water resistance in any antique, vintage, or pre-owned watch I sell, regardless of its original water resistance rating. Furthermore, I do not recommend taking any antique, vintage, or pre-owned watch in water at all.
