Offered for sale is a “Baby Big Seven” custom handmade hunting knife by James B. “Jimmy” Lile of Russelville, Arkansas USA, probably ca. 1970s or 1980s. This knife is based on a design by the legendary knifemaker Bob Loveless. This knife features a stainless steel blade (I believe it is 440C high carbon stainless, as Lile has been known to use), full tapered tang construction, a nickel-silver hilt, and a wood handle. Overall length is 7-3/4″ and the blade length is 3-3/4.” The blade is approximately 3/32″ thick at the hilt. The blade is tang-stamped “Lile.” The tang stamp has no dot above the name, indicating that this knife was made prior to 1991, the year Jimmy Lile passed away. Lile’s shop continued to produce knives for several years after his death, but those knives have a dot stamped into the tang above the Lile name. This knife is in excellent, near-mint condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling. The blade appears to be 100% intact. Included with the knife is a leather concealment sheath that can be worn either on the right or left side. You can own this very high quality, highly collectible custom handmade knife for $799.99.
