Offered for sale is a vintage Lord Elgin wrist watch, ca. 1950s. This watch features a heavy solid 14k yellow gold Deco style case in an unusual fancy scroll design, a 21-jewel manual wind movement, and a silver matte dial with gold applied hour markers. The case is in very good condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial is in good original condition, showing some minor discoloration in a few spots. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Size: 21mm wide x 38mm lug-to-lug. Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a leather strap. I believe the Lord Elgin watches of the mid-20th century were some of the best watches made in America, and are very much underappreciated by collectors today. You can own this high grade, attractive, highly collectible American-made wrist watch, for only $699.99/obo.
