Offered for sale is a Randall Fireman Special fixed-blade knife, hand-made in USA by Randall Made Knives of Orlando, Florida, probably ca. 1990s. Randall designed this knife with firefighters in mind, and made it tough enough to pry open windows and doors during emergency rescue operations (most other knives will break if you use them for prying). This knife is also tough enough to field-dress big game. This knife features a stainless steel drop-point blade with thumb grooves on the spine, full tang construction, a nickel-silver single hilt, and a black micarta single finger grip handle. On this model, the single finger grip handle and nickel silver hilt are extra-cost options when ordered from Randall. The blade is 4″ long and is made from 1/4″ stock. Overall length is 8-3/4″. The blade is tang stamped Randall Made, Orlando, FLA, S. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of very light use and carry. The blade may have been sharpened once, and appears to be at least 99% intact. The handle scales are in excellent condition. The fit and finish is superb. The knife includes its original leather sheath. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of custom knives. If you were to order this knife from Randall today, you would probably receive it in about five years, since the Randall workshop is so backed up with orders. If you would rather not wait for your Randall, you can own this one today for $699.99.
