Schrade Uncle Henry 153UH Vintage Fixed Blade Hunting Knife USA
Offered for sale is a vintage fixed-blade Schrade Uncle Henry hunting knife, pattern #153UH, made in USA, probably ca. 1970s. This knife features a carbon steel clip-point blade, a brass finger guard, a staglon handle, and a brass butt cap. The blade is 5″ long and 3/16″ thick at the hilt. Overall length is 9-3/8″. The blade is tang stamped Schrade USA 153UH. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing evidence of occasional use. The blade appears to be 98% intact, and shows some minor pitting throughout. The knife includes a leather sheath with sharpening stone (probably original to the knife). This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of vintage American fixed-blade knives. Now that Schrade knives are being made overseas, the American made ones are becoming very collectible.
