Offered for sale is a vintage Hampden wrist watch, probably ca. 1910-1918 (pre-WW1 era). This watch features a solid sterling silver screw back and bezel case with hinged wire lugs, a 15-jewel 3/0 size “Diadem” LEVER-SET stem-wind movement, and a white porcelain dial. The case is in good condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. The threads on the caseback are a little flimsy and do not line up correctly, so it is necessary to use a thin blade to remove the caseback. The bezel screws and unscrews correctly. The movement runs and keeps good time. The dial is in fair condition, showing a few hairlines. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Size: 34.5mm diameter.
