Offered for sale is a pre-owned Tim Britton Tango flipper folding tactical knife, made in Winston-Salem, North Carolina USA, probably ca. 2010. This is a prototype of the Tango model, and is numbered 0 (I contacted Tim Britton, and he confirmed that this knife is indeed a prototype). This prototype differs slightly from the later Tango knives, in that the pocket clip is shaped slightly differently and the thumb studs are slightly different. This knife features a S35VM stainless steel drop-point blade, a frame lock device, a pocket clip, and a sculpted titanium handle with a gray anodized finish with a lanyard hole. The flipper and dual thumb studs on the blade makes it easy to open the knife with one hand. Thumb grooves on the spine of the blade provide for a better grip. The pocket clip can be positioned for right-handed tip-up or tip-down carry. The blade length is 3.7″ and the length closed is 4-3/4″. The blade is tang stamped Tim Britton on the frontside and #0 on the backside. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of very light use and carry. The blade appears to be 100% intact, and locks up tight with no wobble. Britton Knives are used throughout the world and most notably as part of the issue to the Palace Guard Detachment in Ivory Coast, Africa. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. You can own this highly collectible prototype knife from a very highly regarded maker for $699.99.
