Offered for sale is a pre-owned Morseth Utility hunting knife, made in USA ca. 1950s. Harry Morseth was one of the pioneers in American custom knife making and became famous for using Brusletto laminated steel imported from Norway. The Brusletto laminated steel features a layer of hardened steel in the center and two layers of softer steel on the exterior. The hardened steel center layer holds an edge very well while the two outer layers make the blade more resilient. This knife features a Brusletto laminated steel clip point blade, leather handle and an aluminum reduced hilt and pommel. The overall length approximately 9″ with a blade length of 5″. The blade is tang stamped Morseth on one side and Brusletto Geilo Made in Norway on the other side. The knife is in good condition overall, showing signs of normal use and carry. The blade shows some minor pitting throughout and appears to be at least 95% intact. This knife includes its original Safe-lock leather right-handed sheath. The sheath has normal wear and is signed Morseth Everett Washington. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of American fixed blade knives. You can own this very high quality and highly collectable vintage hunting knife for $499.99.
