Offered for sale is a vintage full-size Zippo lighter, ca. 1956. This lighter features advertising for the Daylight Speedliner train of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. The Daylight Speedliner entered service in 1956, and operated between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh via Baltimore and Washington, DC using self-propelled rail diesel cars. The service was discontinued in 1961. Since this lighter was made the same year the Daylight Speedliner entered service, the lighter was probably made to commemorate its inauguration. The lighter is in very good used condition, showing signs of occasional pocket carry. The chrome is 100% intact and the paint is approximately 90% intact. Needs only flint and fluid to work. This is a great crossover collectible of interest to both lighter collectors and railroad buffs. You can own this great vintage Zippo advertising lighter for $159.99.
