Offered for sale is an antique Waltham (USA) open-faced pocket watch, probably ca. 1940s. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 52mm (2″) diameter. This watch is of a type that was issued to the US military, but there are no visible military markings on this one. This watch features a chromium-plated base metal screw back and bezel case, a 17-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set movement, and a single-sunk porcelain military dial with luminous numerals. The case is in very good condition, showing signs of occasional pocket carry, and a minor wear spot on the caseback. The dial is in excellent condition, showing a very minor hairline near the 6 o’clock position (not noticeable unless you look very closely). The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreaciates fine timepieces. You can own this very high grade, super clean American-made pocket watch, for $249.99.
