Offered for sale is a vintage full-size Zippo lighter in a brushed chrome finish, ca. 1968 (Vietnam War era). This lighter was most likely owned by a U.S. serviceman who served in the Vietnam War, and carried this lighter throughout his tour of duty. The lighter was engraved on both sides by either its owner or a local artist in the Vietnam theatre. On the front, it says Vietnam 70-71 Cu Chi, and has the logo of the 101st Airborne division. On the back, the lighter says, “Fighter by day, lover by night, drunkard by choice, Army by mistake.” If this lighter could talk, imagine the stories it could tell. The lighter is in fair condition, showing signs of heavy pocket carry. Still, it is in rather good shape for a lighter that has probably been carried through years of combat. The chrome is approximately 60% intact. This is a great crossover collectible of interest to both lighter collectors and military buffs. Needs only flint and fluid to work. You can own this great vintage Zippo lighter for $99.99.
