Description
Offered for sale is a Bergans Troll fixed-blade Puukko style hunting knife, Made in Norway, probably circa 1960s. This knife features a laminated steel (probably Brusletto steel) drop point blade, hidden tang construction, nickel silver hilt and pommel, and rosewood handle scales. The laminated steel used in this knife has a high carbon center layer to hold an edge, and two more resilient outer layers to resist fracturing if bent. The blade is 4-1/2″ long and almost 1/8″ thick at the hilt. Overall length is 8-13/16″. The blade is tang stamped “Bergans Troll Norway” lengthwise down the blade and “High Carbon Edge” near the hilt. The blade appears to be at least 99% intact. The handle scales are in excellent condition, with no visible cracks or chips. The fit and finish is superb. The knife includes a leather belt sheath. This knife is very well made, and will provide many years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of fixed blade knives. You can own this very high quality hunting knife, for $129.99. |
