Cold Steel SRK VG-1 San Mai Fixed Blade Hunting Knife

Offered for sale is a Cold Steel SRK VG-1 San Mai fixed-blade hunting knife, made in Japan, probably circa 1980s.   This knife features a San Mai steel clip point blade, a lanyard hole, and a black textured Kray-Ex grip handle.  The San Mai steel is a laminated steel similar to that which Samurai swords are made of, and features a hardened center layer to hold an edge and two resilient outer layers to keep the blade from fracturing if bent.  The blade is 6″ long and 3/16″ thick at the hilt.  Overall length is 10-3/4″.  The blade is tang stamped “SRK VG-1 San Mai” on one side and “Cold Steel, Japan” on the other side. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling. The blade appears to be 100% intact.  Comes with its original Kydex sheath. This knife is very well made, and will provide many years of service with proper care.  Or, it would be right at home in a collection of fixed blade knives.  You can own this high quality vintage hunting knife for $199.99.
