Filson by Shinola Dutch Harbor Stainless Steel Dive Sport Watch, Detroit MI

Offered for sale is a pre-owned Filson “Dutch Harbor” Dive wrist watch, made for Filson by Shinola and assembled in Detroit, Michigan USA from a combination of American and imported parts, probably circa 2015-2020.  Shinola was founded in 2011 by a group of people with a desire to revitalize a rundown section of Detroit, create jobs, and re-establish a watchmaking industry in America.  Shinola produced their first watches in 2013.  Filson is an upscale American manufacturer of outdoor clothing and accessories in business since 1897, and in 2014 they contracted with Shinola to produce a line of watches suitable for a rugged outdoor lifestyle.  This watch features a stainless steel case, a screw-down crown, a uni-directional outer rotating bezel, a synthetic sapphire crystal, a quartz movement, and a black dial with luminous hands and hour markers and a date indicator at the 6 o’clock position.  The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional wear.  The movement runs and keeps excellent time.  The dial is in excellent condition.  Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.  This is a BIG watch, and measures 43mm diameter.  Fitted with the original American made black leather strap.  As of this writing (May 26, 2023), Filson has discontinued their watch line, and Filson-by-Shinola watches have become collectible.  You can own this high quality, attractive, ready-to-wear sports watch, for $399.99.  If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
