Offered for sale is a Gerber #B2400S Guardian II fixed-blade combat knife, made in Portland, Oregon, USA, circa 1980s. This knife was designed for Gerber by the legendary knifemaker Bob Loveless. This knife features a stainless steel double-edged spear point blade with a satin finish, and a black “armorhide” coated cast aluminum handle with a double hilt. The blade is 6-5/8″ long and almost 1/4″ thick at the hilt. Overall length is 11-3/4″. This knife is designed for combat. The blade is tang stamped “Gerber, Portland, ORE USA” on one side and “B2400S” on the other side. Lengthwise on the blade is stamped “Design by R.W. Loveless.” The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling. The blade appears to be unsharpened, though the tip is very slightly rounded. The handle is in excellent condition, with a few very minor wear spots on the armorhide finish. The fit and finish is superb. Gerber also offers a lifetime warranty. Included is the original black canvas sheath. This knife is very well made, and will provide many years of service with proper care.
