Hamilton-Illinois JASON B Vintage Stainless Steel Wrist Watch, ca 1956

Offered for sale is a vintage Hamilton “Jason B” wrist watch, circa 1956 (case made in USA, Swiss movement).  This watch features a stainless steel round case, a Swiss 17-jewel AS 1240 manual wind movement, and a black dial with silver applied non-numeric hour markers.  The case is in very good condition overall, showing signs of normal wear.  The movement is in excellent running order.  The dial is in excellent original condition.  There is some light personal engraving on the caseback with a date of 1956.  Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.  Size: 32mm wide x 36.5mm lug-to-lug.  The movement is marked “Illinois.”  Hamilton bought the Illinois watch Co. in 1929, and used the Illinois name on some of their watches and movements in later years.  Fitted with a black leather strap.
