Illinois 23j 16s Bunn Special 14k GF Railroad Pocket Watch, Montgomery Dial

Offered for sale is an antique Illinois Bunn Special open-faced railroad pocket watch, probably ca. 1922.  This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2″) diameter.  This watch features a genuine Bunn Special 14k yellow gold filled screw back and bezel case, a 23-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set Bunn Special movement, and a double-sunk porcelain Montgomery style dial with black Arabic numerals. The case is in good condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and some areas of noticeable brassing on the raised edges.  The Montgomery dial is in excellent condition, showing one minor hairline near the 12 o’clock position and one near the 4 o’clock position (noticeable only if you look very closely).  The movement runs and keeps excellent time.  Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride.  You can own this very high grade, American-made pocket watch, for $799.99/obo.  If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
