Product Description

Offered for sale is a custom folding lockback pocket knife, hand-made by Lou Hegedus,  probably ca. 1970s or 1980s.  Lou Hegedus was a highly talented craftsman whose knives were featured in several knife magazines during the 1980s, Including a feature story in Knife World magazine in July 1985.  Lou Hegedus passed away in 1990.  This knife features a 440c stainless steel clip point blade, a blade locking device, stainless steel bolsters, brass liners, and white bone handle scales.  The handle scales are dovetailed into the bolsters.  There is some filework on the locking lever and on the top of the blade.  Length closed is 4-3/16″.  The blade is tang stamped Hegedus.  The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling.  The blade appears to be 100% intact, and locks up tight.  This knife is very well made and will provide many more years of service with proper care.  Or, it would be right at home in a collection of custom knives.  You can own this very high quality custom knife from a highly regarded maker for $299.99.
