Description
Offered for sale is a vintage first version Buck #112 folding lockback hunting knife, made in USA probably circa 1972. This first version knife features a stainless steel clip point blade, brown linen micarta handle scales, and integral brass bolsters and liners. Prior to 1968, Buck knives were stamped “Buck.” In 1968, Buck added “USA” to the tang stamp. By 1973, the model number was added, and by 1986, date code symbols were added to the tang stampings. Length closed is 4-1/4″ and length open is 7″. The blade has an inverted tang stamp of “Buck U.S.A.” The knife is in good condition overall, showing signs of normal use and carry. The blade appears to be about 90% intact, and locks up tight. There is no sheath with this knife but many quality sheaths can be found on Ebay. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of American pocket knives. You can own this very high quality, highly collectible first-version Buck #112 vintage pocket knife for $279.99. |
