Offered for sale is a custom drop-point hunting knife, hand-made by W. C. “Bill” Davis, probably ca. 1980s or 1990s. W.C. Davis was a highly talented craftsman who started making knives in 1973 and joined the Knifemakers Guild in 1974. Davis passed away in 2015. This knife is based on a design by the legendary knifemaker Bob Loveless. This knife features a stainless steel drop point blade, full tapered tang construction, a stainless steel single hilt, a lanyard hole in the handle, and white bone handle scales. Overall length is 8-3/8″, with a blade length of 4″. The mirror-polished, hollow-ground blade is 3/16″ thick at the hilt. The blade is tang stamped W. C. Davis S.C. 1 of 75. The knife is in excellent, near-mint condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling. The blade appears to be 100% intact. Included with the knife is a high quality handmade leather sheath.
