Offered for sale is a custom drop-point hunting knife, hand-made by W. C. “Bill” Davis,  probably ca. 1980s or 1990s.  W.C. Davis was a highly talented craftsman who started making knives in 1973 and joined the Knifemakers Guild in 1974.  Davis passed away in 2015.  This knife is based on a design by the legendary knifemaker Bob Loveless.  This knife features a stainless steel drop point blade, full tapered tang construction, a stainless steel single hilt, a lanyard hole in the handle, and white bone handle scales.  Overall length is 8-3/8″, with a blade length of 4″.  The mirror-polished, hollow-ground blade is 3/16″ thick at the hilt.  The blade is tang stamped W. C. Davis S.C. 1 of 75.  The knife is in excellent, near-mint condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling.  The blade appears to be 100% intact.  Included with the knife is a high quality handmade leather sheath.  This knife is very well made and will provide many more years of service with proper care.  Or, it would be right at home in a collection of custom knives.  You can own this very high quality custom knife from a highly regarded maker for $599.99.
