Offered for sale is a pre-owned KAI USA Zero Tolerance 0801 frame lock flipper folding tactical knife, made in USA, probably ca. 2000s. This knife was designed for ZT by the noted knifemaker Todd Rexford. The 0801 model is still in production as of this writing, however the handle design has been changed, so the handle design of this particular knife has been discontinued. This knife features an Elmax stainless steel drop-point blade with a powdered finish, a frame lock device with a hardened steel lockbar insert, a pocket clip, and a titanium handle with a gray anodized finish with a lanyard hole. The flipper makes it easy to open the knife with one hand, and serves as a finger guard when the knife is open. The opening action is among the smoothest of any knife made, as ZT knives are known for. The pocket clip can be positioned for right-handed or left-handed tip-up carry. The blade length is 3-1/2″ and the length closed is 4-5/8″. The blade is tang stamped ZT, 0801 KAI Elmax USA, Rexford Design. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of very light use and carry. The blade appears to be 100% intact, and locks up tight with no wobble. With a name like Zero Tolerance, ZT has set a very high bar for themselves, and equally high expectations among their customers. And ZT knives are over-engineered to meet or exceed those expectations. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care. You can own this very high quality, collectible knife from a very highly regarded maker for $199.99.
