Description
Vintage Swiss miniature automaton clock, probably ca. 1920s or 1930s. The brushed gold-tone dial has a cutout in the bottom section where two figures move up and down in a “see-saw” motion as the clock runs. The clock features a gilt brass case with a red finish on the front, and a marble base. The 30-hour, jeweled manual-wind movement is in good running order. Signed, “L’Escarpolette Schorcob, Fab. Suisse.” Size: 3″h x 2-3/4″w x 1-1/2″d. Swiss miniature automaton clocks like this one are highly collectible and hard to find.
