Offered for sale is a vintage Omega Constellation Officially Certified Chronometer wrist watch, Swiss made, probably ca. late 1960s or early 1970s. This particular case style is known as the “C-Case Constellation,” and was designed for Omega by Gerald Genta, a highly regarded watchmaker known for producing high-end custom and limited production watches. This watch features a gold-on-steel screwback case with a gold observatory emblem on the back, a 24-jewel calibre #564 automatic chronometer-grade movement, a date display at the 3 o’clock position, and a silver matte dial with gold applied non-numeric hour markers. The date can be quick-set by pulling and pushing the crown until the correct date is displayed. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial is in excellent original condition. The crystal is original to the watch and displays the Omega symbol. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. This watch measures 35mm wide (without crown).
