Chelsea Brass “Embassy” Quartz Desk Clock

Offered for sale is a pre-owned Chelsea Embassy quartz desk Clock, American-made movement, German-made case, probably circa 1980s.  For those unfamiliar with the Chelsea quartz movement, the movement used in this clock is no ordinary quartz movement.  Unlike the cheap plastic movements found in most quartz clocks today, this movement has solid brass plates, jeweled bearings, precision machined wheels and pinions, and is built to last.  The clock also features a solid brass rectangular case with a gilded finish and a step down base, and a white dial with black Roman numerals.  Operates on one AA battery.  The case is in good condition overall, showing some minor scuffing from normal household use and some minor pitting in a few spots.  The clock runs and keeps excellent time, and the dial is in excellent condition.  The clock measures approximately 4-7/8″ wide X 5-3/4″ tall X 2-1/2″ deep, and weighs 4 pounds (approximately 2 kg).  You can own this very high quality clock from a very highly regarded maker, for $299.99/obo.  If you have questions about this item or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
