Offered for sale is an antique Hamilton 992 open-faced railroad pocket watch, made in USA probably circa 1928. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 51mm (2″) diameter. This watch features a Hamilton (by Wadsworth) 10k yellow gold-filled screw back and bezel bar-over-crown case, a 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set Railroad Grade 992 movement, and a double-sunk porcelain Montgomery dial with Arabic numerals and black steel spade hands. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and some light brassing on the caseback and on the bow. There is a light personal engraving on the caseback. The dial is in excellent original condition, showing no visible cracks or chips. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
