Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Master Mariner wrist watch, Swiss made, probably circa 1950s. This watch features a solid 14k yellow gold one-piece case, a 17-jewel automatic movement, and a silver satin dial with gold applied non-numeric hour markers. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. The case back has some high-quality personal engraving indicating that this watch was originally presented as a service award to an employee of Imperial Knife Company in 1969. The Imperial Knife Company of Providence, Rhode Island was once the largest producer of cutlery in the USA, and was in business from 1916 until 2004. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial appears to be in excellent original condition. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. This watch measures 33mm wide (without crown). Fitted with a black leather two-piece strap. Comes with its original box. This is a great crossover collectible of interest to both watch collectors and knife collectors.
