Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Cresarrow private-label wrist watch, retailed by Arbogast & Holdorf of Chicago, Swiss-made, circa 1950s. Cresarrow is well known for making watch cases for many of the IWC watches sold in the US market. They also made a line of complete watches, many of which were sold to jewelers as private label watches like this one. I could find very little information about Arbogast & Holdorf, but based on my research, they were active from the late 19th century through the 1970s. This watch features a solid stainless steel screwback case, an automatic movement, and a cream matte dial with silver applied hour markers. The case is in very good condition, showing signs of normal wear. There is a light personal engraving on the caseback that dates the watch to 1959. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. The dial is in good original condition, showing a patina appropriate for its age and some minor discoloration around the edge. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style. This watch measures 35mm diameter. Fitted with a black two-piece strap. You can own this high grade, attractive, ready-to-wear wrist watch, for $399.99.
