Description
Offered for sale is an antique Elgin Veritas open-faced railroad pocket watch, made in USA circa 1901. This is a 18-size watch, and measures approximately 54mm (2-1/4″) diameter. This watch features a Wadsworth “Referee” 20-year yellow gold filled screw-back-and-bezel case, a 23-jewel Grade 214 stem-wind lever-set Veritas movement, and comes with a white double sunk dial with black numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case is in very good condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing. The engine turned caseback has a blank cartouche in the center. The dial is in excellent original condition, except for a very small chip in the center of the subsidiary seconds dial (noticeable only if you look very closely). The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride. You can own this high grade, collectible, antique American-made pocket watch, for 899.99/obo.
