Offered for sale is a vintage Wempe Chronometerwerke open faced pocket watch, Swiss made, probably circa 1980s.  Wempe was founded in 1878 in Hamburg, Germany.  Today, Wempe is one of the world’s most prestigious retailers of watches and jewelry with stores in several countries, and carries many of the finest brands.  Their own in-house brand is also of very high quality.  This watch measures approximately 2″ (51.5mm) diameter, and is approximately the same size as an American 16-size pocket watch.  This watch features a yellow gold plated case, a Swiss ETA 963.118 quartz movement, a white dial with Roman numerals, and a date display at the 6 o’clock position.  The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional pocket carry.   The movement is in excellent running order.  I serviced the movement in September 2026.
