Description
Offered for sale is an antique Illinois (USA) Sangamo Special 16-size open-faced pocket watch, circa 1905. This watch features a genuine Illinois (by Wadsworth) 14K white gold filled screw back and bezel Sangamo Special rigid-bow case, a 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set model 5 movement, and a double-sunk white porcelain dial with black numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case shows signs of normal pocket carry and some very light brassing on the underside of the bow. The caseback has an engine turned design along with a blank cartouche. The dial is in excellent condition, with a few minor hairline cracks (noticeable only if you look closely). The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride. You can own this very high grade, antique American-made railroad pocket watch, for $699.99.
