Chelsea Vintage Brass US Maritime Commission 8-Day Marine Clock

Offered for sale is a vintage Chelsea U.S. Maritime Commission Ship’s clock, probably ca. 1940s. This clock measures 7-1/4″ diameter x 2-3/4″ deep. This clock features a solid brass case with a screw bezel and a flange at the back for mounting to a wall or bulkhead, an 8-day time-only movement with an 11-jewel platform balance, and a silvered metal dial with Arabic numerals. The case is in excellent condition. The dial is in good original condition, showing some minor discoloration that is normal for its age. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. I serviced the movement in September 2018. Overall, a very presentable clock that is ready to use in your home, office, or boat, or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
