Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Elgin wrist watch of the Art Deco period, made in USA circa 1930s. This watch features a stainless steel art deco style case that has a deep curve to fit the contour of the wrist, a 15-jewel manual wind movement, and a two-toned silver dial with black numerals. Although the case is marked “base metal,” I believe it is actually stainless steel. The case is in very good condition overall, showing signs of normal wear. The movement is in good running order. The dial appears to be in good original condition, and shows a “tropical” patina appropriate for its age. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Size: 22.5mm wide x 42.5mm lug-to-lug. Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a black leather strap. You can own this high grade, attractive, highly collectible American-made wrist watch, for only $249.99/obo.
