Description
Offered for sale is an antique Hamilton #992B (USA) open-faced railroad grade US Military Issue railroad pocket watch, probably circa 1944 (World War 2 era). This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2″) diameter. This watch features a genuine Keystone Model 5 chromium plated base metal screw back and bezel case, a 992B 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set movement, and a single-sunk porcelain dial with Arabic numerals. The case is in good condition showing signs of normal pocket carry. The chromium finish is partially worn on the back, though the military markings are still fully readable. The caseback states “US Ordnance Dept., Watch – RR Grade, MFR’s Part No. 992B, Serial no. OE-10157, Hamilton Watch Co.” The Montgomery dial is in excellent condition. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. This is a great crossover collectible of interest to both watch collectors and military buffs. You can own this very high grade, American-made railroad/military pocket watch, for $699.99/obo.
