Description
Offered for sale is an antique Hamilton #992E (USA) open-faced railroad pocket watch, probably ca. 1938. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2″) diameter. This watch features a genuine Hamilton (by Wadsworth) 10k yellow gold filled bar-over-crown screw back and bezel case, a 21-jewel adjusted grade 992E (Elinvar) stem-wind lever-set movement, and a double-sunk porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing except for the underside of the bow. The bow is tight. The dial is in excellent condition except for a few very minor hairlines (not noticeable unless you look closely). The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. You can own this very high grade, American-made pocket watch, for $599.99. If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
