This watch was part of Hamilton’s Explorer series of watches that they introduced in the early 1930s, and was named after Roy Chapman Andrews, a well-known explorer from the 1920s. This watch features a solid 14k white gold Art Deco style rectangular case with a fancy stepped-side design, a 19-jewel calibre #401 manual wind movement, and a silver matte dial with gold applied hour markers. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. There is a high-quality engraving of initials on the caseback. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial appears to be in excellent original condition. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
