Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Hamilton “Benton” wrist watch, ca. 1952. Although this watch came out more than a decade later than the Art Deco period, it is a fine example of the Art Deco style. This watch features a solid 10k yellow gold Art Deco style rectangular case, a 19-jewel calibre #754 manual wind movement, and a silver matte dial with gold applied hour markers. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear. There is personal engraving on the caseback with a date of 1955. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial appears to be an older refinish of very good quality, and shows a slight patina. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Size: 23mm wide x 37mm lug-to-lug. Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a leather strap (note: the watch currently has a short strap attached to it. If you would prefer a regular-length strap, I will install one at no extra charge). This is a very hard-to-find model, and is sought after by Hamilton watch collectors today. If you like Art Deco timepieces, you will certainly enjoy this one that exemplifies the Art Deco style. You can own this very high grade, attractive, highly collectible American-made wrist watch, for only $699.99.
