Longines Vintage 15j 17-ligne Sterling Silver Open Faced Pocket Watch

Offered for sale is a vintage Longines open-faced pocket watch, Swiss-made, probably circa 1920s. This watch measures approximately 45mm (1-3/4″) diameter, which is equivalent to an American 12-size pocket watch. This watch features a sterling silver hinged back and snap bezel case, a calibre 17.25, 17-ligne, 15-jewel stem-wind stem-set movement, and a single-sunk porcelain dial with fancy script Arabic numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case is in very good condition, showing signs of occasional carry. The caseback has a personal engraving. The dial is in excellent original condition, showing two minor hairline cracks (noticeable if you look closely). The movement runs and keeps excellent time. I serviced the movement in August 2024. The case number matches the movement number. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
