Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Lord Elgin wrist watch, ca. late 1940s or early 1950s. This watch features a 14k yellow gold filled Deco style case with flexible hinged lugs, a 21-jewel caliber 670 manual wind movement, and a gold matte dial with gold applied hour markers. The case is in very good condition overall, showing signs of normal wear and some light scratches on the back. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial appears to be in fair original condition, and shows a patina appropriate for its age. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style. Size: 22mm wide (w/o crown). Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a leather strap. I believe the Lord Elgin watches of the mid-20th century were some of the best watches made in America, and are very much underappreciated by collectors today. You can own this high grade, attractive, highly collectible American-made wrist watch, for only $299.99.
