Description
Offered for sale is a vintage Movado Museum Watch, probably ca. 1970s or 1980s. The Museum Watch is based on a mid-20th century watch design by Nathan Horwitt, an original example of which is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This watch features a solid 14K yellow gold case, a 17-jewel manual wind movement, and a black dial with a single gold hour marker at the 12 o’clock position. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional wear. The dial is in good original condition, showing some minor crackling of the finish that normally occurs with age. The movement is in excellent running order. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear. Size: 30mm diameter (without crown). Fitted with a leather strap and genuine Movado buckle.
