Offered for sale is an antique South Bend Studebaker open-faced pocket watch, made in South Bend, Indiana, USA probably circa 1920s. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 51mm (2″) diameter. This watch features a 10k yellow gold-filled swing out case, a 21-jewel adjusted stem-wind stem-set movement, and a painted metal dial with black Arabic numerals and black steel spade hands. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry. The caseback depicts a bald eagle perching on a branch above a blank cartouche. The dial is in fair original condition, showing a patina appropriate for its age. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
