Offered for sale is a vintage Bench Mark folding lockback hunting knife, made in USA probably circa 1980s. This knife was designed for Bench Mark Knives by Walter “Blackie” Collins, who is regarded by many as one of the best custom knifemakers in the USA. This knife features a stainless steel drop point blade, wood handle scales with a blank cartouche on one side, and integral brass bolsters and liners. Length closed is 4″ and length open is 7-1/8″. The blade has a tang stamp of “Bench Mark.” Lengthwise down the blade is the logo and name of the North American Hunting Club. The other side of the blade is signed, “Designed for the NAHC by Blackie Collins.” The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional use and carry. The blade appears to be at least 99% intact, and the blade locks up tight. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care.
