Vintage Bucherer Gold-On-Steel Automatic Chronometer Wrist Watch w/Date Display

Offered for sale is a vintage Bucherer Officially Certified Chronometer wrist watch, Swiss made, probably circa late 1950s or early 1960s.  This watch is similar in style to some of the vintage “seamaster” watches by a famous maker whose name I cannot mention here.  Bucherer is an upscale watch and jewelry retailer based in Switzerland.  They sell many of the highest quality watch brands, and their own Bucherer brand is also of very high quality.  This watch features a gold-on-steel screwback case with big, beefy lugs, a chronometer-grade 25-jewel automatic movement, and a gold satin dial with gold applied non-numeric hour markers and a date display at the 3 o’clock position.  The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear.  The movement is in excellent running order.  The dial is in excellent original condition.  Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.  This watch measures 34mm wide (without crown).  Fitted with a brown leather two-piece strap.
