Vintage Lecomte Geneve Swiss 6s 6j Open Face 18K Gold Pocket Watch, Parts/Repair

Description

Offered for sale is a vintage Lecomte Geneve open faced pocket watch, Swiss-made, probably circa late 1800s.  This watch measures approximately 1-1/2″ (37mm) diameter, and is approximately the same size as an American 6-size pocket watch.  This watch features a solid 18k yellow gold case with an engine turned design and a blank cartouche on the back (note: the inner cuvette is not gold).   The watch also features a 6-jewel key-wind key-set movement with a cylinder escapement, and a gold textured dial with black Roman numerals (the dial tests as 18k gold).  The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of occasional pocket carry.   The movement does not run, and the watch is being sold as-is for parts or repair.  The balance assembly appears okay. The dial is in excellent condition.
