Offered for sale is a vintage Movado Triple Date Calendar wrist watch, Swiss made, circa 1940s. This watch features a solid 14k yellow gold case, a 17-jewel calibre 407 manual wind movement, and a two-toned silver dial with gold applied numerals, a subsidiary second hand, a pointer date indicator and day and month displays. The month and date can be corrected by means of the pushers on the side of the watch. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of normal wear. There is some light personal engraving on the back indicating that this watch was presented as a service award to an employee of Kansas City Life Insurance Company in 1945. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial is in fair original condition, showing a patina appropriate for its age. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. This watch measures 32.2mm wide (without crown).
