Vintage Omega Constellation Chronometer Gold-On-Steel Automatic Wrist Watch

Offered for sale is a vintage Omega Constellation Officially Certified Chronometer wrist watch, Swiss made, probably ca. 1950s.  This watch features a gold-on-steel screwback case with a gold observatory emblem on the back, a 24-jewel calibre #561 automatic chronometer-grade movement, a date display at the 3 o’clock position, and a silver matte dial with gold applied non-numeric hour markers.  The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional wear.  The movement is in excellent running order.  The dial is in very good original condition, showing a patina appropriate for its age.  The crystal is original to the watch.  The crown has been replaced with a generic one.  Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.  This watch measures 34mm wide (without crown).  Fitted with a brown leather two-piece strap.
