Offered for sale is an antique Waltham Vanguard (USA) Model 1908 open-faced railroad grade pocket watch, circa 1913. This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50.5mm (2″) diameter. This watch features a 10k yellow rolled gold plate screw-back and bezel case, a 23-jewel adjusted stem-wind lever-set movement, and a double-sunk porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel spade hands. The case is in excellent condition, showing some light brassing on the underside of the bow and on the high points of the case (noticeable only if you look closely). The caseback depicts a steam locomotive pulling a passenger train. The dial is in excellent original condition, showing one minor hairline crack near the one o’clock position. The movement runs and keeps excellent time. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride. You can own this high grade, American-made pocket watch, for $499.99/obo.
