Vintage Dick Atkinson Custom Handmade Folding Lockback Knife, Abalone Inlay

Offered for sale is a vintage Dick Atkinson custom handmade folding lockback hunting knife, made in Wausau, Florida, USA, ca. 1980s.   Dick Atkinson has been making custom knives since 1977 in Wausau, Florida.  He uses A2, 440C and 154CM steels and is known for making tough tactical folding and fixed blade knives.  This knife features a drop point blade, dual thumbstuds, a blade locking device, fancy filework on the top of the blade and on the locking lever, and brown micarta handle scales with abalone inlays on each side.  Length closed is 4-1/2″.  The blade is tang stamped “Atkinson, Wausau, FL.”  The blade is 1/8″ thick at the hilt.  The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of very light use and carry. The blade appears to be 100% intact, and locks up tight. There is no sheath with this knife but have seen many custom sheaths available on ebay.  This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care.  Or, it would be right at home in a collection of custom pocket knives.  You can own this very high quality handmade pocket knife for $249.99.
