Offered for sale is a Mel Pardue custom handmade folding lockback dagger, made in USA. Mel Pardue started making knives in 1957 and was admitted to the Knifemaker’s Guild in 1974. In addition to making his own knives, Pardue also designed many knives for Benchmade Knives and taught the knifemaking craft to many knifemakers. Mel Pardue passed away in 2022. This knife features a stainless steel spear point blade, a coffin style handle, nickel silver bolsters and liners, wood handle scales, and a blade locking device. Length closed is 4-3/4″ and length open is 7-7/8″. The blade has a tang stamp of “Pardue 060” lengthwise down the blade. The knife is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional handling. The blade appears to be 100% intact and the blade locks up tight. There is no sheath with this knife but many quality sheaths can be found on Ebay. This knife is very well made, and will provide many more years of service with proper care.
