A. Frankfield & Co. by Waltham 16s 17j Gold Filled Private Label Pocket Watch

Offered for sale is an antique American Waltham Watch Co (USA) open-faced pocket watch, retailed by A. Frankfield & Co. of New York, circa 1901.  A. Frankfield & Co. was founded in 1856, and was active as of 1919.  I could not find any further information about the company.  This watch features a gold filled hinged-back-and-bezel case, a Grade 630, 16 size, 17-jewel adjusted stem-wind stem-set model 1899 movement, and comes with a single-sunk white porcelain dial with black numerals, and blue steel spade hands.  The dial is in good original condition, showing a few minor hairline cracks.  The movement runs and keeps excellent time. The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and no visible brassing.  There is a fancy floral and engine turned design on the caseback and bezel along with a blank cartouche.  You can own this antique American-made private-label pocket watch, for $299.99/obo.  If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
