Elgin B.W. Raymond 478 Vintage 16s 21j 10k Gold Filled Railroad Pocket Watch

Offered for sale is an antique Elgin grade 478 B. W. Raymond open-faced railroad pocket watch, made in USA ca. 1927.  This is a 16-size watch, and measures approximately 50mm (2″) diameter.  This watch features a genuine Elgin B. W. Raymond (by Keystone) 10k yellow gold filled screw back and bezel case, a 21-jewel Grade 478 stem-wind lever-set movement, and comes with a white single sunk porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals and blue steel spade hands.  The case is in excellent condition, showing signs of normal pocket carry and some very light brassing on the edge and on the underside of the bow (noticeable only if you look very closely).  The bow is tight.  The dial is in excellent condition, showing no visible cracks or chips.  The movement runs and keeps excellent time.  Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride.  You can own this high grade, collectible, antique American-made pocket watch, for $499.99/obo.  If you have questions about this watch or about my watch and clock repair services, please feel free to contact me.
